Early Intervention Program/Birth to age 3

Core and Supplemental evaluations

  • Conducted by speech pathologist and special education instructor or evaluator in area of need
  • Performed at the child’s home/child care or at SteppingStonesLearningCenter, flexible scheduling options available
  • Evaluation results and recommendations shared with family at time of testing
  • Complete typed report will be mailed to the family in a timely manner following the evaluation
  • Member ofSteppingStonesLearningCenter’s team will be present at child’s IFSP meeting
  • For referral contact the Department of Health at (585) 530-BABY (5437)
  • Service coordinator will contactSteppingStonesLearningCenteras the chosen evaluator, and the Evaluation Coordinator will call the family to set up the evaluation and answer questions regarding the evaluation process


State Education Dept. Program/3-5 years of age

Core and Supplemental evaluations

  • Conducted by diagnostic team, which can consist of a psychologist, speech pathologist, special education instructor or specific to the identified area of need (i.e. occupational therapist, physical therapist.)
  • Performed atSteppingStonesLearningCenter, at the family’s home or at the child’s daycare setting, flexible times/days available for evaluation appointments.
  • After the family contacts the school district,SteppingStonesLearningCenterwill be contacted with a request to complete the evaluation.
  • Appointments: ContactKirsten Sackel, Evaluation Coordinator at (585) 467-4567 ext. 152 or by email:  ksackel@steppingstoneslearning.com  after obtaining permission from child’s school district.
  • Evaluation results and recommendations will be shared with family at time of testing. 
  • Detailed typed report will be mailed to the family with the evaluation results and recommendations in a timely manner following the evaluation.
  • Evaluation Coordinator will be present at child’s CPSE meeting.
